What You Will Learn

This certification teaches the essentials of safe, effective horsemanship through daily hands-on experience.

You will learn safe barn work, groundwork, riding when appropriate, training techniques, and clearer communication with the horse. The goal is to help you develop practical ability and a stronger foundation for working with horses in a healthy, effective way.

Training Philosophy

This program is rooted in natural horsemanship. Participants learn how horses naturally interact and how to work with them safely as co-creators rather than through force or harmful methods.

The emphasis is on understanding what the horse is communicating and responding clearly so horse and human can work together as a team.

How the Certification Works

Participants work with horses daily, five days a week. Training is tailored to each person’s current skill level while still exposing participants to the full range of learning available in the program.

Depending on proficiency, riding skills may be taught, and participants may have opportunities to ride in the large arena, round pen, and on the property as appropriate.
